I didn't say they should know it - I was just surprised that half of our group DID know it and one of them was from Slovakia! It is a very beautiful anthem and the Canadians are wonderful people and great friends to the US. So, what is wrong with knowing their anthem?

I would bet that the number of US citizens that don't even know the name of our anthem, not to mention not knowing the words, would astound us. Especially the younger generations who are not taught patriotism and flag protocol in our schools. Sad!
