yep, you can edit [your own] postings on the new forum...


Adding a new drive is e-z, just open the computer case and look where the other harddrive is. Now usually the [flat]cable connected to the HD has another set of openings to plug into your new drive.



-> top cable: floppy drive

-> second: newer / faster UDMA HD cable

-> third older HD cable


You see the black and blue parts on the flat cable, well that's where you connect your stuff:


Now this is how to connect everything:



Master = your main drive, the one you already have

slave = your new [100 bucks ] drive


If somehow you've only got one cable inside of your pc, i.e. your CD ROM is connected to the same cable. get yourself a new cable and connect the cd rom to the new one and the two drive to the cable you already have...
