Sadly, most females do not wear their hair down when out alone because of the obvious attention they receive, most of it from offensive men ...and other females who have "crew cuts". One girl with thigh length hair was join the Police academy, and needed a style which would effectively hid her length from perpetrators who could use her hair as a weapon to overpower her. As I said in the beginning, sad isn't it?

My experience in working with long haired women is that they are more strong willed than others, because they tend to walk their own path. Leaders not followers. Not easy targets to rapists who apparently look for easy, weak targets. I suppose, little do they know.
