Danica did race. She was put out by a crash caused by contact on lap 171 and was credited with 22nd. She said she had about a 7th or 8th place car before she got wrecked. I don't think she was hurt.

She won the previous IRL race, in Japan. That made her the first woman ever to win an IRL race.
