It's so sweet that she gave you her hair after she cut it. IMO more girls should do that. If they have a guy who loves their long hair yet they feel they must cut it, why not present it as a gift to the guy who appreciated it the most? It's exactly what I'd want my SO to do if she were to cut her long hair.
