I thought they sabotaged the girl's performance by focusing on her physicality, and by bringing her mother out. My bet is that they grow hair for spiritual reasons (Pentecostal) and that the phrase "hot hair" was kind of insulting to repeat at the end. They let her perform at all only because of her hair? Please. They totally used that girl for the visuals. Which is very Hollywood... I hate that show. I hope the girl rejoices that she didn't get used further by them.
