Thanks for a great post. I for one who knew several firefighters who perished that day and went to way too many memerorial services appreciate it very much. Being the Captain of my local department on that day and now as their Chief I remember all to well the anguish we all felt. politics aside... can we not remember how united we all were that day... red states, blue states. Black, white, asian. it did not matter. That day we were all AMERICANS. It's a shame we seem to have forgotten that.
