the stricter the screening the better quality the forum will be- for obvious reasons, less spam, bs etc. However, that puts a great deal more work upon you, pc, and your moderators, to check folks out ahead of time- will that be too much? Moreover, even with the checking, some will fool you folks and get through right? So it will end up in the same place eventually; the key question there is how long until that time. The main question, I think, is will this vetting/checking be worth the time it will take to actually do it? Lastly, I do agree with the others, dont ignor you old forum(s)!

I agree with the mail/email application to join . Later if the person in question is found to be a trouble maker then he/she can be blocked from writing messages but still have access to pics and viewing of messages .

i/mods can block user names, 1st, if some one wants a second chance, re:register.
strick 2 = block e-mails requiring a person to get/use another e-mail and
isp's will be banned on strick 3. period...
