There was a Miss Japan, if I recall correctly, ( can't remember the year, 70's or early 80's ), who had knee length hair when she won the Miss Japan title.

Unfortunately, by the time she got to the top ten of the Miss World competition she had shortened it to a chin length bob. Apparently, it was too hot where the competition was held, South of France, I think, and had cut it after she had arrived there.

If she had kept it long, I think she could have won...

Here's hoping the same doesn't happen to Miss Russia...
