My first several hairjob experiences left a lot to be desired.

First girlfriend I tried it with had shorter red hair, maybe 5 inches. Meh.

Second girlfriend I tried it with had below shoulder length brownish hair, but it wasn't very healthy, and didn't feel very good.

Third girlfriend was a charm, eventually, and later became my wife. Bra-strap length brown hair that was always soft. First time with her she tried a little, but I didn't feel much. Second time, she's just trimmed her ends and saved them, thinking she could massage me with the clippings. Did not feel good at all. But eventually we learned, and she's made me very happy, even though it's never been longer than bra-strap. I love it when she's riding on top and tilts her head forward to drag her hair back and forth across my face, neck and chest.

Don't give up! You didn't really say what condition her hair is in. Maybe it needs some cumditioning -- the more you do, the better it will feel!
