I've had good results with the LAION dataset but a lot of it is in the prompts. I did build a recursion engine that takes the output of the previous generation and uses it as an image prompt which can often take a okay generation and turn it into a better one.

I've not shared many of my generations because I wasn't sure what the reception might be but maybe I will now that you've broken the ice on the subject.
