I actually messaged her and ask her what a paper wife is apparently it's somebody who gets married to somebody who is incarcerated in a prison or Correctional Facility.

It's kind of like saying that you're pen pal but it's more absolute she actually went and married somebody who was in prison and now he's free and she's with him in the real world
