Getting rid of duplicates is a must and a great way to save space. I use Auslogics Duplicate file finder, but it only works for duplicate file names, and mamny may be "image.jpg". Thus I switched to VisiPics, which compares the content of each file and quickly finds the duplicates. I delete the smaller, less enjoyable image and keep the larger, sharper ones. Surprising how fat it works.

Google drive is great, as is Dropbox and if you are an Amazon Prime member, they offer and incredible amount of free storage.
