Thanks
I know that it's common, I receive at least 20-50 a day myself, but I'm fairly new here and I didn't want anyone to think poorly of me. It's easy to misinterpret the source of the file and open it accidentally. I'd hate for anyone to mess up their computers and I wanted to warn everyone, especially since it had made it's way into some of the Yahoo groups on my list.
It's likely that someone who has ME on their email address book has the virus and they don't even know it. These things tend to send themselves out relatively undetected.
The bad thing is, the virus contained in that email is one that disables your anti-virus software, so I'd recommend that everyone who has me in their address book do an online scan, not rely on what Norton or Mcaffee says. This is a great one that has saved my butt in the past: pandasoftware.com/activescan/ It's free and it works great!
Thanks for understanding!
