My first site was on Usenet: alt.sex.fetish.hair

I can't tell you how much time I wasted in the mid-1990s telneting to the university of michigans news server and using gopher to dig down through the alt groups to get to a.s.f.h. I met Dan there, who I still call my friend even though we don't e-mail like we used to.

I think TLHS was one of the first web sites I found, followed by NTCWeb.com, which is now back up and running, BTW.
